Jim Whalen joins Broad Reach Retail with an extensive background in retail real estate, having previously served as the Vice President of Retail Transactions at Chase Properties. In his previous role, he successfully oversaw all aspects of retail acquisitions and dispositions, contributing significantly to the growth and success of the company.
Before his tenure at Chase Properties, Jim gained over a decade of experience in various directorial positions at Harbour Retail Partners (Atlanta) and BC Wood Properties (Lexington). His responsibilities encompassed acquisitions, asset management, leasing, and property management, showcasing his well-rounded expertise in the field.
Jim’s industry recognition extends to his designation as a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), reflecting his commitment to excellence and professionalism. He remains an active and engaged participant in the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), where he continues to foster valuable industry relationships.
A proud alumnus of Transylvania University, Jim Whalen is not only a seasoned real estate professional but also a dedicated family man. He resides in Louisville, Kentucky, with his wife and their two children.
